Currently serving as the executive chef at the REAL District in Regina, he promotes sustainable practices and champions local ingredients while crafting innovative Sri Lankan and fusion dishes that have earned him acclaim and a loyal following.
Born and raised in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Chaminda draws on a wealth of knowledge from his diverse culinary journey, which includes significant experiences in Dubai and Canada. He is deeply passionate about preserving Sri Lankan culinary traditions while creating unforgettable dining experiences that reflect his roots.
In addition to his role as a chef, Chaminda offers a range of consulting services that include menu development, culinary training, and hospitality consulting for restaurants and catering companies. His commitment to education and mentorship is evident in his active training of culinary and service staff in the art of Sri Lankan hospitality.

Bandula De Silva brings over 40 years of experience in both in-bound and out-bound tourism, making him a respected figure in the global travel industry.
With a career that has taken him across more than 33 countries, including the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia, China, Vietnam, and Kenya, Bandula’s journey began with his academic pursuits in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Rockland, Maine, USA.
As a proud ambassador of Sri Lanka, Bandula has represented the country’s beauty and culture at prestigious global travel events such as the World Travel Market (WTM) in London and ITB in Berlin—two of the world’s largest tourism exhibitions.
Bandula is now partnering with Chef Chaminda Ambagaspitiya to create a unique culinary safari experience. Their collaboration blends Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage with world-class cuisine, offering travelers an opportunity to immerse themselves in the island’s diverse flavors and traditions.
